We’re absolutely delighted to congratulate our talented club photographer Malcolm Heaven on having one of his images selected for inclusion in this year’s Countryfile Calendar!! Chosen from over 17,000 entries, the image titled “Breathtaking” was taken at Bradgate Park and features a large stag on a cold autumn morning. The image fits perfectly with this years theme of “Wild Encounters”, and is a testament to the patience required for wildlife photography.

Having a photograph featured in such a prestigious and widely loved calendar is no small feat. It reflects not only exceptional photographic talent but also a deep connection with nature — something we all admire and celebrate as a club. Well done on this remarkable accomplishment!
